Brevard County has posted its October lagoon progress report. It records completed community projects, homeowner projects and sewer conversions separately. The report also updates construction progress at Cocoa Beach Golf muck capping and Eau Gallie dredging. These milestones document work delivered; environmental results require their own monitoring records. Read the report card and inspect the original sources.
What the October report counts
- 142 completed community projects (evidence record)
- 2,808 completed homeowner projects
- 1,094 completed conversions to sewer
These three measures describe different work. They are not added together, and they are not substituted into the older plan-status presentation (403 projects in the adopted plan, 140 completed, 92 in progress), which remains a dated July 24, 2026 snapshot. The October report does not provide a synchronized full project-status register.
Construction milestones, not ecological outcomes
- Cocoa Beach Golf muck capping: the County describes the first three-inch sand layer as about 90% complete.
- Eau Gallie muck dredging: described as about 40% complete.
A construction percentage is a statement of work delivered. It is not a water-quality measurement, and a three-inch layer at one active project does not establish a universal cap thickness.
Reporting dates differ
Financial and modeled nutrient figures carry their own reporting dates. The latest quarterly financial tables listed by the County are dated August 21, 2026; they are not October figures. The shared content record on both LagoonFacts sites keeps these dates separate.
