How to comment

  • Read the draft environmental assessment and comment instructions on the FAA project page.
  • Submit comments electronically at regulations.gov under Docket No. FAA-2026-9841, or by mail to the address listed by the FAA.
  • The FAA page states that the agency encourages comments on the scope and content of the Draft EA by October 30. Check the page before relying on this date; if the deadline passes without an official extension, this article will be updated to say the comment period has closed.

What this review is, and is not

This FAA review covers launch and landing operations under the National Environmental Policy Act. It is separate from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection wastewater-permit process for the manufacturing facility. Launch operations, industrial wastewater and historical contamination are different issues; our spaceport water and lagoon pollution question explains how to read each record.

LagoonFacts does not take a position on the proposed operations. This item is posted so Brevard residents can find the official comment route before the deadline.
